Piece of Me

I have been debating for some time now whether I should post about something Anthony and I have been going through. It's not something I like to talk to about a whole lot. We only told our family and close friends about it. On August 15 we found out we were pregnant. We were sooo excited and with it being our first child we told our family and close friends. Our first appointment was on August 30th. I was nervous all morning but just figured it was just normal since this was my first time for a sonogram. The sonogram showed the baby was only 5 weeks and I was suppose to be to 6 weeks and 6 days. Our doctor said she was concerned about the baby and wanted to do several HCG levels to see if this was a normal pregnancy or not. All she talked about was a misscarriage so I knew then the baby wouldn't make it. Our sweet family and friends were there for us trying to keep our spirits up. We kept praying for this sweet baby. I had to to go in for several days to have blood work done to check the levels, It was low and it was not a normal pregnancy, The baby didn't make it:( I have been keeping a smiling face when I am around people. But this is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. Our nephew was born on the day of the first sonogram. It was so hard heartbreaking to go see his sweet face. I was happy for my brother and sister in law but at the same time I felt like I was dying inside. It's been two weeks since we lost the baby. I thought it would get easier with time but it hasn't. I feel like a piece of me is missing. Anthony has been sooo good to me! He has been here for me every step of the way. It has been hard on him too. We know it happened for a reason. God knows what is best and it's hard to understand his reasons but we MUST trust in him! Please pray for us. I know we will get through this with time and God will bless with a sweet baby soon.

First time distressing

My sister in law gave us this bookshelf when we moved into our house, I have always wanted to do something with it but was afraid I would mess it up. I have been seeing people distress furniture and I wanted to give it a try:)

I wanted something funky and I love this color!! It turned out perfect!

This is some of the distressing I did, It was super easy:)

The finished product! It turned out great...I can't wait to distress more furniture!

Oh how I am loving coupons!!

Ok so no I do not have any children yet. No its not like we can't afford food or anything like that but I had noticed several people talking about the money they were saving by using coupons. It just so happens my boss's wife is the queen of coupons and started teaching classes on how to use them. You should so check her out on Facebook Cuttin Corners is the name of her class:)) A co worker and I took a class and became hooked! I have only been couponing about a month now and I am slowly starting to have a small stockpile. And I know what you are thinking  that I will go looney tunes like the ladies on Extreme Couponing on TLC They totally go too far! So far my stock pile consists of laundry detergent, pasta, salsa, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, and body wash. So I know its not a lot but I am pretty stoked about it ha ha. It is taking a little bit to get my binder full of coupons to really see a lot of savings but I am getting there.

This is  my second shopping trip using coupons. All of this and a bag of sugar for $31.48:))
This is my first trip with coupons...it was $28.00 for this! I was hooked after I saw what I could with coupons!!

It takes about 3 hours of my time a week to clip the coupons and organize them in my binder depending if I not am being lazy that week but I think its so worth it to save money! Who doesn't want to save with the price of groceries and gas these days! I am not spending more than I have to!!

Balloon Glow

We went to the balloon glow in Ridgeland. We had heard it could get bad there at night but it was really nice. We had a good time!

How I met my sweet husband!

I had just started working at Subway my junior year of high school. I had been working there for several months before I worked with Anthony. He had gallbladder surgery when I started so he was out of work for a little while. When I first saw him he was coming in to get his paycheck. I was thinking to myself man he looks mean!! Boy was I wrong...he was the sweetest guy I had met. However letting him know I was interested took some work. We worked well together and flirted the times we worked the same shift. The flirting went on for several weeks but we remained friends. I was normally very shy around guys but for some reason I was comfortable right off the bat with him:)) Well I put my number in his phone and guess what he never called! I just knew I would hear from him! I finally got the courage to say something to him. He was in the back washing the dishes and I walked back there and asked him Are you slow or something? Do you not know that I like you? Me being the sweet girl I am I never thought how rude that came across. Ok so on with the story he laughed and said yes I like you but I wasn't sure if you like me. We started dating January 9, 2005 and have been together ever since:)

 This was us in 2006 after we graduated high school at Disney World.

One of us dating..It was New Years Eve.

On our wedding day the best day of my life! September 26, 2009! 
I can't wait for more many more years to come:) Love you pumpkin!!
