Keep Calm and Color Me Rad!

This Saturday was the Color Me Run in Jackson benefiting the children's hospital. I wasn't planning on attending. My sweet friend Amber called me the beginning of the week to ask if I wanted to go. Her boyfriend decided he didn't want to go. I was SOOOO escatic to be able to go.

We meet at the crack of dawn 7:30. Amber forgot her wallet and Alie thought we said 8 so we didn't leave til a little after 8. We are excited to get going! It was my first 5k! These two are my favorite twins! I can always call either one of them for anything and they are always there to hear me cry or yell:)

We were cool like our colored tights! Everyone was asking where we got them. Wally World for $5 bucks..Holla for a Dolla!!

Chrissy and her girls came too! We work together and have become really close. Love her:)

Sweet boy Sunday we have a Sunday Funday with sweet friends every week but it was too cold for Bryce so we sat in the truck and watched Mickey Mouse.

Half way to Fifty!

I have kinda dreading my birthday this year...not sure why but being half way to fifty has really gotten to me! Yes I know that I am crazy. It's runs in my family. I am learning to cope with it. Anywho this past year has been one of the best years yet I know this next year will only be even better. I have so many things to be thankful for!

We went to Burgers and Blues to celebrate! They have band every night and its kid friendly...We had so much fun! Love my family and friends:)

Playing catch up

We have been super busy the past couple of months. Adjusting to having a baby has been so much easier than we thought it was going to be. Being parents is the best thing that has happened to us! Bryce is the best baby ever!!! We have been extremely blessed with him being so good that we may not have another child. Seriously...He has grown up so much over the past 4 months! It makes me sad how fast time is flying. I want him to stop growing so fast!

He is always so happy! He is reaching for us now...it's the best feeling in the world!

One month old here. Time has flown by...he changes such much everyday.

He looks so much like his daddy! He even sleeps like him. It's the sweetest thing! They already have a close bond. It melts my heart to see how excited Bryce gets when his Daddy gets him. Anthony is going to kill me for posting this picture.


He was three days old here. I love the look on Anthony's face! We are so in love with our little angel!

Such a sweet sweet boy! I am so excited to be his mommy..looking forward to the years ahead as we start our parenting adventure:)

Reunited and it feels so good:)

Silly name for a post I know but I am so pumped about starting back blogging again!! Our computer crashed and we finally got a new one and I am one happy girl. So many exciting things have happened in this past year. Anthony got a foreman postion at his job and I couldn't be more proud of him. And the most exciting news we recieved this year was we were expecting!!!!

 

 

We found out in Feburary but waited a little while before we shared the big news. We wanted to make sure everything was going to be ok with this angel. I will never forgot Anthony's face when the test was positive. I took 3 tests to make sure I wasn't seeing things lol. Everything has been great with this pregnancy. We had a gender reveal party in June. We decided to wait to find out what we were having our family and friends. Our sweet cousin Megan was the only person who knew. She even kept the secret from her hubby which I wouldn't been able to do. Our appointment was at 8 that morning and the party wasn't until 6. I liked to died went crazy!! We finally got the party started. We waited until Anthony's brother Michael called works off shore. I just knew we were having a girl but I was having dreams it was a boy. The look on Anthony's face was priceless!! He was on cloud nine. It was the sweetest and made my heart melt. I find the pic with that look on his face:(

Our due date is October 25th and we are now 36 weeks. Bryce has been measuring 2 weeks ahead for the longest time now. I don't think we are going to make it til our date. We are so excited about our little blessing on the way. I pray he is just like his daddy. A god fearing, hard working, loving family man. I can't wait for this journey to start.

Piece of Me

I have been debating for some time now whether I should post about something Anthony and I have been going through. It's not something I like to talk to about a whole lot. We only told our family and close friends about it. On August 15 we found out we were pregnant. We were sooo excited and with it being our first child we told our family and close friends. Our first appointment was on August 30th. I was nervous all morning but just figured it was just normal since this was my first time for a sonogram. The sonogram showed the baby was only 5 weeks and I was suppose to be to 6 weeks and 6 days. Our doctor said she was concerned about the baby and wanted to do several HCG levels to see if this was a normal pregnancy or not. All she talked about was a misscarriage so I knew then the baby wouldn't make it. Our sweet family and friends were there for us trying to keep our spirits up. We kept praying for this sweet baby. I had to to go in for several days to have blood work done to check the levels, It was low and it was not a normal pregnancy, The baby didn't make it:( I have been keeping a smiling face when I am around people. But this is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do. Our nephew was born on the day of the first sonogram. It was so hard heartbreaking to go see his sweet face. I was happy for my brother and sister in law but at the same time I felt like I was dying inside. It's been two weeks since we lost the baby. I thought it would get easier with time but it hasn't. I feel like a piece of me is missing. Anthony has been sooo good to me! He has been here for me every step of the way. It has been hard on him too. We know it happened for a reason. God knows what is best and it's hard to understand his reasons but we MUST trust in him! Please pray for us. I know we will get through this with time and God will bless with a sweet baby soon.

First time distressing

My sister in law gave us this bookshelf when we moved into our house, I have always wanted to do something with it but was afraid I would mess it up. I have been seeing people distress furniture and I wanted to give it a try:)

I wanted something funky and I love this color!! It turned out perfect!
